Fence contractor James Smith grew up in rural England, the son of a third generation fence builder. Working outside with his father from a young age James picked up many tricks of the trade and a solid work ethic. James moved to North Carolina where he met his wife Kim. Upon settling in Candler in 1997 he launched British Standard Fence utilizing his extensive skill and knowledge to create the best quality custom fences available anywhere. James applies his skill and logic to produce the best results possible in every project he undertakes.
