We are an 11 acre family farm in Northeast Georgia near the Broad River. Jon and Cathy Payne are new to farming. In late 2009, we decide to be more than just consumers of nutritious, local, clean, humanely raised food. We sought out some land and left Atlanta for agricultural Elbert County. Home to Broad River Rabbitry, raising high quality breeding stock of two critically endangered breeds from outstanding lines: American Blue and Ruby Eyed White and Silver Fox - black variety. We raise critically endangered Gulf Coast Native sheep for meat and wool, and are planning to raise Guinea Hogs in 2014. We have two English Shepherds and a Great Pyrenees helping us on the farm. Cody, our male English Shepherd, is available as stud to select registered females. Preference is to working farm dogs.
