Broadway Fire Department

Broadway Volunteer Fire Department was founded in 1964. We are station #8 of the Anderson County Fire System. We operate out of two stations and run seven apparatus, two pumpers that are provided by the county fire commission, and five other support vehicles that are owned and purchased by the department and the community that we serve. The main station, located off of Highway 29N, houses four apparatus, an E-One pumper, a 3000 gallon Tanker, a brush truck and a light duty rescue truck. The substation, located on Old Williamston Rd., houses three apparatus, an E-One pumper, an E-One mini pumper and a 100' ladder truck. We are 100% volunteer and depend mostly on contributions from our community for funding.
Broadway VFD is one of five stations that make up District 5 of the Anderson County System. Other stations are: Homeland Park VFD #3, Centerville VFD #9, Center Rock VFD #11 and Hopewell VFD #20.
2014 Officers for Broadway VFD are: Chief David Burnette, Asst. Chief Jon Rainey, Captain Bruce Spigener, 1st Lieutenant Matt Turner, and 2nd Lieutenant Kim Strickland.
Our closest assisting stations are: Homeland Park VFD #3, Hopewell VFD #20, Whitefield VFD #22, Rock Springs VFD #1 and Anderson City FD stations #1 and #3.
