Brooklyn United Music and Arts Program

The Brooklyn United Music & Arts Program is a community-based organization that serves New York City youth. For young people, participation in the arts and sports not only aids in physical and intellectual development but fosters self-expression and creativity. Brooklyn United is focused on the development of youth through Academic Support, Character Development, Skills Building and Performance Opportunities. It is through these pillars that we strive to build strong, well-rounded, healthy, confident and capable young people.

Vision Statement:
Our vision is to mold youth, transform them into outstanding citizens and prepare them to be tomorrow’s leaders while affording exceptional opportunities to learn and create lifelong memories.

The Brooklyn United Marching Band, popularly referred to as BU, is a Brooklyn United Music and Arts Program favorite. The southern collegiate-style band, with its flair for unique and electrifying presentations, has grown to become one of the country’s most prestigious marching bands. The band consists of woodwinds, brass, percussion, dance, and flag, and participates in over 80 parades, showcases, and special events throughout the year.
