Brown's Auto Sales was established and opened in 1947 by Burnett "Brownie" Brown. Brownie started the business by working long hours, late into the night, to fix up the vehicles that he ultimately sold. His goal was simple... sell the best looking and best running vehicles at the best price possible. He devoted his life to this goal.

From the early years of his business, Brownie was helped with the work by two of his sons, Charlie and Roger. Together, the three of them put in untold hours of work and built the foundation for their impeccable reputation. Brownie passed on December 18, 1994. Now, Brown's Auto Sales Of Mattoon Inc. is owned and operated by Charlie and Roger who had worked hard along side of their father to build the business. Today, they continue the tradition that their father started in 1947... selling quality pre-owned vehicles at the best price available.
