Bryan's Dog Boarding and Training

Bryan Woodward, owner/operator, is a certified instructor with 30 years experience working with dogs. Bryan received his initial training through the Mandelyn Kennels School for Dog Trainers, Master Trainer/Instructor Program.

The family pet is our focus, offering special expertise with problem solving. Bryan is involved with the community and has been a long-time dog obedience instructor for the City of Moreno Valley Parks and Recreation Department. Bryan's approach is a praise-oriented "balanced" style of training derived from Koehler and Woodhouse methods.

We have been providing dog boarding services for over 15 years. Our facility is small, but we are "big on dogs" offering large, clean runs furnished with dog houses and easy listening music. All sizes and breeds are welcome.

We offer public obedience classes, private lessons, and boarding/training services, in addition to boarding services for those vacations and get-a-aways that don't include your pet(s).

A trained dog is a happy dog - and so are the owners! Obedience training helps form a great bond between dog and owner, and with a little patience and consistency usually solves 80% of problems. A class setting is an ideal arena for training, creating key distractions for the dog such as people and other dogs.


Boarding Services:
We offer boarding services for adult dogs at least six months of age (sorry, no cats or other animals). Our kennel is a sheltered facility located at our home. Kennels are spacious, measuring 6 x 20 foot each, are fully covered and furnished with a dog house. Soothing easy listening music is also provided for our furry guests.

$15 per date, per dog (most dogs)

Reservations and appointments required. We operate by appointment only and advance reservations are strongly recommended. Please call ahead of time to check space availability to ensure your reservation. Payment methods accepted are cash or checks.

Proof of current vaccinations required. All dogs must be current on rabies, DHPPC (or comparable) and bordetella (kennel cough). For the health of our guests and our own dogs, we cannot board animals if vaccination records are incomplete or expired. Please review vaccination records prior to your reservation--sorry, no exceptions.

Food and other items. We keep dogs on the same diet to reduce stress and stomach problems, therefore owners provide food and any preferred treats. Toys and bedding are also welcomed. We will give most medications at a nominal fee.

Exercise and play time is provided; however, priority is given to dogs who will not potty in their kennel. Because this varies with the rotation of our canine friends, we're unable to commit to a pre-determined exercise schedule. We appreciate our customers understanding.

Training Services:
We offer public classes for basic and intermediate obedience training.
Bryan guides students through the basics of proper equipment and use, handling techniques and covers basic commands such as heel, sit, down, stay, come and finish. Also covered are tips for problems at home such as barking, chewing, digging, biting, house breaking and other undesirable behaviors. Homework is a must to succeed. Bryan recommends working with your dog regularly throughout the week, balanced with plenty of play time or exercise. The payoff is a better companion for you and the entire family!

Dogs must be six months of age or older with current vaccinations. Young handlers under 18 years of age are welcome; however, must be accompanied by an adult/guardian at all times and be physically capable of handling their dog.

Training equipment for the class is a small link correction collar and two leashes: 6 foot and 15 foot (nylon). All equipment is available at class at a reasonable cost. The first class is an orientation covering proper size and fit of collars, leash use/handling techniques and command demonstrations.
