Bucks Lake is a census-designated place in Plumas County, California, United States. Bucks Lake is located on the south shore of the lake of the same name, 13mi west-southwest of Quincy. The population was 10 at the 2010 census, down from 17 at the 2000 census.HistoryThe area was first established as a ranch by Horace Bucklin and Francis Walker in 1850. A hotel and a post office were later built on the site.
