Buck's Pocket Steak House

Gather up family and friends for a little trip up thru Buck’s Pocket to the popular Buck’s Pocket Steakhouse. It’s truly a beautiful scenic drive with sights to see along the way, and an evening of relaxed dining that you’ll want to share with everyone?

A Steakhouse at Buck’s Pocket, you may ask? Well, what was originally to be a big bunkhouse for a faith based retreat ended up as a two level steakhouse and the rest is history.

Kim and Wayne Wilkes have owned other successful restaurants and businesses in the area and they now manage Buck’s Pocket Steakhouse. They extend a special invitation to come on out for a visit.

As you enter thru the screened entryway, you’ll see their grandson Dexter and other chef’s busy preparing steaks over the open flame firepit. From there, you know it will be an evening to enjoy as you’re welcomed by the staff and led to your table in the spacious open area double floor dining room; appropriately adorned in rustic cut cedar.

You’ll find plenty of selections on the menu, but of course the entrée of choice is their signature sizzling steaks. Your choice of Ribeye or New York Strip cooked to perfection over the open flame. Sides include regular baked potatoes and their popular baked “sweet” potato. Another popular side is the garlic flavor skillet fried potatoes. Salads are a popular starter, but you’ll also want to sample another choice from the unique selection of appetizers.

In the mood for something besides steak? You’ll love the golden fried Catfish Plate. An abundant serving of fish fillets with your choice of sides.

One regular patron felt that the old fashioned hand patted hamburger was perhaps the most mouth watering item on the menu.

As you enjoy your meal, you continue to notice the tempting bowls of home-style desserts as they go by. There’s plenty to choose from: Blackberry Cobbler, Brownie Delight, Srawberry Pie and more!
