In 1869, Martin Scheeler, Sr. founded Buffalo Wire Works Co., Inc. under the name Scheeler & Sons. Scheeler was committed to providing customers with wire cloth products of superior design, excellent manufacturing, and great value. That same commitment continues today. Scheeler & Sons soon began its legacy as the wire cloth industry leader, expanding the company and innovative product lines as demand for a wide variety of screening media increased. In 1903, Scheeler and Sons officially became Buffalo Wire Works Company. After five generations of Scheeler family ownership, Charles “Guy” Scheeler brought in Joseph M. Abramo in 2000 to transition the company into the future. Working together, they developed a strategy to aggressively invest in personnel and advanced manufacturing technology. In 2003, Buffalo Wire Works experienced a historic ownership change when Scheeler, upon his retirement, entrusted company leadership to Abramo. Today, the company still remains family owned. Throughout the centuries, Buffalo Wire Works has grown and prospered as a manufacturer of screening solutions.
