Decades of international involvement by western nations has led to a crisis of aid dependency in many developing countries, especially in Africa.

This cycle of dependency, coupled with over-crowded and under-resourced schools emphasising conformity over creativity, has led to fewer opportunities for children raised in a global and very competitive marketplace.

Building Kids, Inc., seeks to help break the cycle of poverty and dependency by investing in the creativity and imagination of the individual child, by facilitating constructive play using proven tools like LEGO® bricks in partnership with local schools and community-based organizations.

We are not affiliated with the LEGO company-- but we think they're pretty awesome!
