CARES stands for Cancer Association Relief Effort and Support.

We are a local organization (Bulloch-Bryan Counties) formed specifically to assist cancer patients with financial burdens that they may incur because of the disease.

The Bulloch-Bryan County CARES Scholarship Pageant is a fund raising program for this non-profit charitable organization. Raising money for our local CARES through the pageant system binds us together as a community, providing love, hope, and support.

This pageant is a preliminary to the Miss Georgia CARES Scholarship Pageant and is open to all ages, young and old -Birth and up. You must compete in the Division you will be in at State in August 2016.

AWARDS:
Queen: Custom Crown, Custom Sash, Trophy, Fees paid to State Pageant by director in August 2015, and in the Teen and Miss Division, there will be a scholarship awarded at the end of their reign.
Runners Up: 1st, 2nd, 3rd & 4th - Trophy
Optionals: Medal with Ribbon
Contestants not placing will receive a participation Trophy.
People's Choice: Votes are $1 ea. The girl in each Division with the most votes wins a Tiara. Attached to the application is a sheet for People's Choice pre-ticket Sales. Tickets must be turned in with application by deadline.
Photogenic Photos submitted may be picked up after the pageant in the lobby.

Hospitality Queen: She will receive prizes and just as Division Queens, except for the scholarship. To win the title of hospitality queen at prelim, a contestant must raise $500 or more. All money must be turned in with the application, by the deadline. The contestant raising the most money over $500 per division will advance to State. State fees will be paid by local director.

INTERVIEW:
TEEN AND MISS will be the only groups doing interview. Interview time will be five (5) minutes for each girl. See application for attire and additional information. Interview will be 40% of score

Contestant and one (1) person will be admitted free, current titled queens wearing crown and sash will also be admitted free.

Hair, makeup, and other vendors admission is $25 per person. You will have a designated area for your girls.

Each contestant will be judged on beauty, poise, personality and overall appearance. Optionals will be judged at the end of each age division during group line up and will not be tallied into final score

Walk: Basic T Pattern - No PRO Modeling

Dressing Rooms will be available and will be marked for the age divisions allowed in room. Please remain in your designated area/room.

There will be a photographer available for group and individual pictures.

All contestants and parents agree by entering that should they win a CARES division title, they will compete at the Miss Georgia State CARES pageant in August 2015 and attend all mandatory events listed on application.
