Burger Farm History

Since 1904, the Burger family has owned the property where the garden center is located. The family got into the dairy business in the 1940s with one of the largest brown swiss herds in southern ohio. The dairy herd was sold in the 1960s and the farm went back to cash crops such as corn soybean and green beans. As the road side produce stand grew so did the requests for other plants and seeds leading to the start of the Garden Center. What started out as a few Jackson and Perkins boxed roses and some tomato seedlings has grown to the business we are today.
