Burr Oak Cabin, Explore Ohio

This cabin is nestled at the end of Vicksville Lane in full view of the Buckeye Loop Trail. Easy Hike to Dock 3. Full size fridge and new ikea kitchen. Large toaster oven and two burner electric cooktop. Please be aware this is a step above camping, but still roughing it. An inexpensive way to enjoy running water and electricity, but there is no tv, phone or Internet on site. There is however a radio and record player.

You will need to bring your own linen, towels, and toiletries. In exchange you will see giant birds, hop on Ohio's finest lake loop trail, and float in the middle of Ohio's hidden gem in the middle of Wayne National Forest.

There is a Kroger grocery store in nearby Trimble, which is an easy 20 minute drive from the Cabin. There is also a Walmart in nearby Athens (home of Ohio University) which is about 40 mins drive. There is also a hardware store in Glouster, Ohio called Darbeyland.

There are pots and pans, plates, mugs, utensils, toaster oven, and a coffee maker. I don't have a proper stove at the cabin. However there is a microwave, large toaster oven, and an electric cooktop with skillet that can be plugged into the wall. I cook pancakes, eggs, bacon etc on the cooktop without a problem. There is a full size fridge with freezer.

The closest restaurant is at the Burr Oak Lodge (~10 minute drive). I often have lunch there and it is delicious. There are a couple restaurants in nearby Glouster, Trimble, and Mcconnelsville. To be honest I've only eaten at the Burr Oak Lodge while I'm down there.

I have also stopped for dinner about 45 minutes away in Nelsonville as it is on my way home to Columbus, Ohio. Rocky Boots has an outlet store in Nelsonville with a lot of discounted hunting gear, as well as a couple restaurants, historic train rides, arts, etc.

Also, if you find the place truly lacking something I'm about 1.5 hours away and will do my best to bring it out to you in a timely manner.
