The Bushkill Township Volunteer Fire Company was established in 1959 and currently consists of four divisions: Fire, EMS, Fire Police, and Ladies Auxiliary. The fire company, ladies auxiliary, and fire police are operated by volunteers, covering the 25 square mile township and its population of approximately 9,000 residents. The fire company, including fire/rescue and EMS, also provides mutual aid service to surrounding communities when requested.
