Butterfields Restaurant

Butterfield’s has been a family restaurant since 1934, when Manley and Norma Butterfield opened up in Hanson, MA at the corner of Main and High streets.

Their daughter Barbara Danner has been in the restaurant business all her life. She opened her own restaurant in Rockland over 30 years ago on Market Street; aptly named Butterfield’s Family Restaurant.

Butterfield’s, and more specifically Barbara, has been well known for her home made pies, hand cut french fry potatoes and her home cooking.

Butterfield’s continues to be a staple in the local economy where people continue to make it its daily, weekly or monthly meeting place. The Butterfield family is now in its 4th generation and still offers complete Breakfast, Lunch or Dinner any time of day.
