By Faith Farm is a 95 acre farm located at 7721 Whites Creek Pike. We are dedicated to producing the highest quality local food for Nashville and the surrounding areas and providing a healthy food source for many local disadvantaged people through area hunger relief agencies. We use no chemicals or pesticides and we let the natural processes of the earth encourage our crops to yield bountifully. We currently have four tenant farmers, one of which is the Martinez family, Javier, Ebbe and their two daughters, who live at the farm. They grow a variety of fruits, vegetables, and herbs and sell produce from their garden. Robert Guy also lives at the farm and is gardening in a partnership with Will Tarleton. Together they have two acres of produce and currently offer a CSA along with selling to area restaurants. Will's farming venture is called Wiley's Produce.
Lina Dimeola is currently helping Lori Birckhead, the farm owner with a tomato trial for Trevecca University. They are growing 25 various types of tomatoes and documenting their stages of growth and yield. Lina is an expert in herbs and has an herb garden on the farm called Gloria's Garden. Lina will have various culinary herbs along with oils, salves, and vinegars for medicinal use available for sale. The owners, Jim and lori Birckhead along with Phil Trent are raising grass fed beef which will be available for sale in 2013. The farm hosts youth groups through out the year to expose young people to the benefits of local organic food and farming as a way of life as well as encouraging service and stewardship by providing food to those less fortunate.
