More about Cades Cove Stables (The Original)

Here at the original Cades Cove Stables (now located in Townsend), you will enjoy taking in the beautiful scenery and wildlife of the Great Smoky Mountains as a friendly and experienced guide leads you to Fall Branch Falls, a private, 110-foot waterfall.
We also offer half-hour carriage rides which take you to a cabin built in the 1800's and 2 hour hayrides, consisting of a bonfire, marshmallows, and cold drinks. Feel free to bring some hot dogs to roast as well!
We continue our family’s tradition of over 40 years experience at our new location in Townsend.

~ Rides are first come, first served, but if you have a group of 15 or more, please call ahead and let us know so we can ensure our ability to accommodate your group.

~The guide-led trail rides are ~50 minutes to an hour. On the ride, you will go by a beautiful walnut grove, a cabin built in the 1800's, and up to a private 110 ft. waterfall (only accessible by our horseback rides).

~ Hayrides are by reservation and require a minimum of 10 people. The hayride usually lasts about 2 hours.

DIRECTIONS:

From Pigeon Forge: Go to traffic light #3. Turn onto Wears Valley Road (US 321). Drive until the road dead-ends (approx. 15 miles) at the traffic light. At the light, turn left. We are the second driveway on your right!
