ades Cove is the most visited area of Great Smoky Mountains National Park. This 6,800-acre valley is located about 31 miles away from Pigeon Forge and is known for its beautiful landscapes.

Here you can observe diverse wildlife as well as 19th century historic buildings that include churches and pioneer log cabins.

Cades Cove has awe-inspiring forests are filled with trails exploring Abrams Falls, a picturesque waterfall with a 20-foot drop to a pool and stream below located on Abrams Creek. Take a nature trail hike to encounter the tranquility of the mountains and an array of photo opportunities along the way.

The best way to experience all of this beauty is by taking Cades Cove Loop Road, an 11-mile, one-way, paved loop road. The path is open from sunrise to sunset year-round. On Wednesdays and Saturdays from early May to late September the road is closed to motor vehicles until 10 A.M.

Every Saturday in December, the loop closes to cars until noon. During this time bicyclist and hikers can take a safe and quiet journey along this road experiencing the wildlife, nature and history of Cades Cove
