More about Cafe of Life Longmont

Our Practitioners:

Dr. Jessica Thompson, D. C.

Dr. Jessica Thompson is a graduate of both the University of Florida (Go Gators!) and Cleveland Chiropractic College where she graduated Valedictorian of her class in 2004. She is celebrating her 10th year as a chiropractor in 2014. She specializes in spinal correction and care for the entire family. She especially enjoys treating expecting mothers and children as she is a mother to 3 busy boys under the age of 6.
Dr. Jess is skilled in both manual adjustments (the kind that make the pop) and instrument adjustments (the more gentle kind for babies and people who do not like the pop). She prides herself on staying educated and up to date with the latest and best health information and state of the art rehab equipment. She is a self proclaimed “x-ray nerd” who loves her digital x-ray machine. It is part of the Cafe’ family. :-)
What sets the Cafe’ of Life apart from other chiropractic offices is our relaxing ‘zen’ environment, our warm and healing touch, combined with our expertise in evaluation, and treating with a holistic approach.
Dr. Jessica is a marathon runner and busy mom who loves football, being with her boys, and helping to create wellness in her Longmont community through the gift of chiropractic.

I also know how vital it is in today’s chaotic world to keep oneself centered, healthy and pain free. Massage therapy is deeply satisfying helping one person at a time to enjoy life to the fullest mind body and spirit.”

Christa Caputa, Massage Therapist/Acupuncturist

Christa Caputa relocated to Longmont, CO, in August of 2015. She has been a professional in the healing arts since 2002 and an educator since 1993. Helping other people thrive is her passion. Caputa realized while practicing and teaching massage that pain runs deeper than mere structural abnormalities. She wanted tools in her arsenal that could address the energetic issues that underlie pain in the body. This is what led her to Chinese Medicine. Her talent in orthopedics and Western massage along with Chinese Medicine theory enables her to get more accomplished in less time than with just one or the other. Her work shifted to include treating anxiety and depression, trauma, and other imbalances that affect emotions and so, the body. Christa says that, “Pain is difficult and can be depleting and depressing. However, the changes I have seen in peoples’ lives that are utilizing Chinese Medicine and Massage stretch farther than mere pain relief. Clients are feeling more emotionally, mentally, spiritually, and physically alive and in balance.” With her combination of skills, Caputa treats everything from acute sports injuries to marathoners in training, peri-menopausal and menopausal women, as well as men who are dealing with issues of aging like pain, ED, or urinary issues. She works with clients diagnosed with fibromyalgia, chronic fatigue, eating disorders, or other addictions. She has also had amazing results treating TMD (TMJ) and other symptoms that result from the high-stress lives we lead. Using Acupuncture, Chinese Herbs, and Bodywork, Caputa helps people establish balance in their bodies. Caputa finished her undergraduate literature degree at the University of MN. She attended The Lauterstein-Conway School of Massage in Austin, TX, Seattle University for her Masters in Adult Education (MEd) and The Oregon College of Oriental Medicine for her Masters in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (MAOM). She is nationally certified as an acupuncturist as well as massage therapist and is licensed to practice acupuncture in Colorado and Minnesota.
