Calavera Boots

Calavera, Spanish for skull. An odd name for boots, but it speaks to the heart of what we are trying to do. In Mexican tradition, brightly colored skulls are deeply rooted in the celebration of Dia de los Muertos- a holiday meant to honor the dead, celebrate life, and remind everyone to enjoy life to their fullest. This was the idea we wanted to bring to our business: the bright, vibrant energy that comes with the Mexican celebration of life. Once we had that idea, we wanted to take that energy one step further. Beyond the celebration of life, we wanted to bring a sense of strength and independence to our business while still producing a high-quality and practical product with an affordable price.

But we didn't just want a business; we wanted to start an institution that could change our community. The idea to begin this business was born from our wish to improve our world. Every day, women and children all over the world face abuse, neglect, and abandonment at the hands of others. Our drive is rooted in our wish to help women and children who have been abused, neglected, and abandoned. We seek to do this through the charity 'Her Legacy”, a non-profit organization focused on helping women and children within the community.

Our boots are unique and meant to reflect the individuality and bold, vibrant energy of the people we serve. The flowing designs and bright colors create the sense of life we want to bring to our business and the unique patterns allow for individuals to show off their sense of style. We should all be proud of who we are and unafraid to show our true selves to the world.

Each pair of boots sold is one step closer to helping in the empowerment of abandoned, abused, and neglected women and children here in our community.
