Calvary is the legacy of leading Pittsburgh Victorians who turned a skating rink into a masterpiece. Since the first worship service on Christmas Eve in 1893 when the Chapel was completed, Calvary has been a treasure nurtured by many. Donors and congregants have contributed to the restoration of the building. The Allegheny Historic Preservation Society led the fundraising efforts to save the building and restore the stained glass windows. AHPS has been integral in preserving the church enjoyed today.

The windows were the largest and most expensive commissions to Louis Comfort Tiffany at the time. His studios also created the interior design.

Visitors marvel at the Gothic architecture and gargoyles, inspired by Europe's great cathedrals, as well as our welcoming spirit. Today, our congregation is a hub for diverse spiritual, arts and community activities.

Special Needs Parking
Lot behind the church for easy access to the handicap ramp - off Douton Way OR On street directly in front of the church (Allegheny Ave.) for easy access to front doors.

Regular Sunday Parking
The Pittsburgh Presbytery lot between Dounton Way and Western Ave.
“Off The Wall” lot directly across from the front of the church
“Vacant Lot” behind the row houses next to “Off The Floor” lot (Caution: gravel and tripping hazards)

Steelers Sunday 1 pm Game Days:
NO “Presby”, “Off the Floor” or “Vacant Lot” parking
Use “BRM” lot on Behan St.
Please respect special needs parking spaces
Note that you may get a parking ticket if you park on any street on Steeler Sundays
And, please do not pay to park in any of the lots charging money!

A map listing directions to the “BRM”parking lot will be inserted in the church bulletin and posted on the church website and in the monthly newsletters. Also, a map showing where the “Presby”, “Off The Floor” and “Vacant Lot” parking lots are located will be provided as well.
