The camp is located seven miles above Sierra City in the famous Mother Lode “Northern Mines” country. The camp has all conveniences necessary to make the scout’s visit comfortable and productive. A kitchen and dining hall are utilized for meals and training programs, and a kitchen staff provides food services for all. Complete sanitation facilities are provided with modern plumbing and hot water showers. A laundry area assures clean clothing for all campers and staff.
Scouts sleep in clean and dry cabins on comfortable bunk beds. Mattresses are provided, as is electricity. Craft and Shop Cabin:Provides spacious well-lighted work areas for scouts earning the various handicraft merit badges.
The program is run as a provisionary troop with a maximum participation level of no more than 75 boys, and an adult-to-scout ratio of 2:7. The focus of activity is towards achieving scouting goals, and having an enjoyable camping experience in the magnificent Sierras.
