“An Oasis is a place that provides refuge, relief, or pleasant contrast”. Camp Oasis seeks to be an opportunity for kids who are “At Risk” to experience refuge from negative life experiences. We seek to reach them where they are at and through the caring arms of offer love, support, and model for them positive behaviors that are based upon Christian principles.
Mission Statement:
Camp Oasis exists for campers that are “At Risk” and that may be displaying “Specific Difficulties” in their life. The goal is to offer a summer camping experience for these campers who may benefit from a positive environment. It is our passion to provide a youth camp for youth who meet these criteria. We want to offer them an experience unique and suited to their needs. Our purpose is to reach their needs and also to build a relationship with their families. Our goal is to then make referrals for these kids and their families to a local church from where they reside. With each specific camper we will strive to initiate, lead each of them to a relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ and disciple them in the faith. Yet, we understand that many do not live in Christian environments and that they will display behaviors based upon this. With the presence of our Christ-likeness we hope to facilitate a life-change both for these campers and their families.
