I have loved photography for long as I can remember. It didn't matter what I was doing or where I was going. I had to always take a million photographs of everything! I would make all sorts of things with my pictures.
So I finally decided to take photography in college as an elective class. Then I saw my passion for photography grow into something more than just a hobby. It's taken me this long to finally decide to share my love for photography with everyone. So here I am, ready to take the world on.
I started out not knowing anything, but with a manual vivitar film camera there I was taking pictures of anything and everything I could turn into a beautiful photograph. In the dark room, my imagination ran wild with all kinds of things I could create with these beautiful photos. I would dodge and burn, take 2 images and create a captivating illusion of 1 photograph. I knew nothing but black & white photography, the hard work paid off though. It was amazing to develop and process everything myself. In that darkroom, I truly learned the BEAUTY of a photograph. I sometimes will still go out with my film camera for a shoot just to see what amazing beauty can still be captured and yet not seen until it's developed.
Now my work is digital photography with edits, retouches and client friendly printing capabilities. The quality of my work is and will always be shown in my photographs no matter if it's digital or film. As I just have a true passion for the art of photography.
The beauty of Black & White photography will always be close to my heart. I have waited all day sommetimes on the lighting of nature to be "just right" for that "perfect shot". That one shot is always worth waiting for though.
