Canyon Concert Ballet

Since it was first established by Carole Torguson, Canyon Concert Ballet has been the benchmark for excellence in classical & contemporary dance education in Northern Colorado and has established the standard by which others are judged. Over the years, we have developed a talented Company that is offered exceptional performance opportunities. From age 2 to Adult, we are proud to promote excellence and access to the art form of dance by providing dance instruction to over 400 students in two convenient studio locations.

The aim of the Academy is to develop dancers who possess strong, clean classical technique with great emphasis on artistry, musicality, and purity of line. To reach that goal we offer comprehensive classical ballet training through a progressive curriculum influenced by the Royal Academy of Dance and the Russian Vaganova technique. Because we believe strongly in encouraging our dancers to be well-rounded, we also offer a variety of classes including jazz, lyrical, tap and hip hop.

The Administrative & Artistic Staff, Company dancers and dedicated volunteers are committed to providing our community with superior performance experiences and the highest quality dance instruction.

Each year, thousands travel to The Land of the Sweets and are entertained by the Sugar Plum Fairy and other delectables in our production of "The Nutcracker", which features the Fort Collins Symphony Orchestra. The CCB Nutcracker has long been a holiday tradition for families in Northern Colorado, and has inspired dance dreams for thousands of young people! Our spring ballet has showcased our dancers in beloved ballets such as Snow White, Peter Pan, Cinderella and Sleeping Beauty.
