Capital City Biathlon

The course includes a 3.1 mile run followed by a 15 mile bike ride. This race is sanctioned by USA Triathlon and is chip timed.

The event will be held at the Lake Springfield Beach House in Springfield, IL. The 3.1 mile run is an out and back route that crosses Lindsey Bridge and turns south on West Lake Shore Drive. It is followed a 15 mile bike ride along Lake Springfield and the rolling prairie along Pawnee Rd.

An awards ceremony will be held after the last biker crosses the finish line. Participants received a race t-shirt and will enjoy snacks and refreshments at the post race party.

Awards categories are for the top three overall male, female, Clydesdale, and Athena finishers as well as top three in each age group for males and females. Team awards will be given to the top three male, female and mixed teams.
