The Capital District Garden & Flower Show is the region’s premiere gardening exhibition. The 60,000 square-foot McDonough Physical Education Complex at Hudson Valley Community College transforms into a garden lover's paradise with over 17,000 square feet of beautifully designed, fully blooming gardens, over 100 floral arrangements exploding with rich colors and fragrances and a garden marketplace full of shopping. Local, regional and national experts give advice throughout the show at their displays and during the scheduled hourly lectures and demonstrations. The finest landscape professionals in upstate New York come together to showcase their unique talent and creative style. Visitors walk the meandering paths and escape to a backyard oasis of full scale landscape exhibits and themed gardens containing annuals and perennials in bloom, flowering trees, waterfalls and ponds.
