Overview of CARE4ME Services
CARE4ME Services recruited and trained 40 individuals to become Community Health Workers. They were trained to actively navigate and engage their peers, AAMSM, in their communities by promoting the importance of receiving health care and other vital services related to HIV infection, intervention, and prevention. The overall goal of CARE4ME Services is to improve linkage, use, retention, and re-engagement into health care and services, specifically among African Americans. Rapid HIV testing is also offered by CARE4ME Services.
