Carnitas Queretaro was founded in 1986 by Maria Luisa and Israel Bordier in Ciudad Juarez, Chihuahua, Mexico. Carnitas Queretaro originated with a delicious pork recipe and decided to open a restaurant with the name of Carnitas Queretaro. The Carnitas are cooked in a large kettle and made fresh everyday. Becaue the "Carnitas" were exquisite and unique of its kind, they became famous and customers demanded other menu options as well. So popular was Mr and Mrs. Bordier's recipe, that lamb and beef barbacoa were added to the menu as months passed by. In 1995, the idea of opening a Carnitas Queretaro restaurant in El Paso, Texas came to mind. The idea became reality in October 1995 opening their first location in 6516 N. Mesa, El Paso, TX 79912. The restaurant has been such a success in El Paso which has taken us to an unexpected growth. Until now 4 locations have been the result of it's hard work and the idea of opening new locations is the objective to serve great AUTHENTIC mexican food.
