More about Carpe Librum Chicago

Carpe Librum is a non-profit, used bookstore owned and operated by Chicago non-profit, Turning the Page. Bookstore proceeds go toward Turning the Page programs in Chicago schools.

Our bookstore pops up each year in a Chicago location. This Summer of 2016, we were in Portage Park. We plan to pop up again next spring. Follow our Facebook page to hear where and when we'll be popping up next!

All inventory in Carpe Librum has been donated, mostly through Turning the Page's large network of used book drives in area businesses, apartment buildings, and universities. Carpe Librum has thousands of gently used books, CDs, and DVDs for sale, all priced $1 - $4. Proceeds from Carpe Librum fund Turning the Page's parent engagement programs in Chicago public schools.

Carpe Librum accepts donations of gently used books, CDs, and DVDs right to the store whenever it is open.

Visit www.turningthepage.org for more info or visit TTP's Facebook page (www.facebook.com/turningthepage).
