"We discovered many years ago that God was using us to do much more than build a building. We have been a source of encouragement and revival practically everywhere that we have been. This has not happened because we are anybody special, but because we serve a God that has chosen to minister to His people thru us. I have been humbled by the way that God has revealed His love for His people thru this ministry. It has been very rare that the communities that we have visited have not experienced a spiritual awakening while we there."

"The Carpenters for CHRIST ministry that is based at Cherry St. Baptist Church in Attalla, Al. is anchored in the scripture found in the Book of Psalms, Chapter 127:1 …….Except the Lord build the house, they labor in vain that build it. The present crew was established in 2001. We are a group of dedicated individuals that provide the labor to construct church buildings for small congregations that otherwise could not afford to build. We are registered with the North American Mission Board of the Southern Baptist Convention. Our ministry is dedicated to not only building buildings, but to strive to provide an environment that is conducive to Kingdom Growth. Our motto is: There Is No Limit To What Can Be Accomplished If Only God Gets The Credit. Twice a year we will take out between 60 and 100 men from some 50 different churches from across 9-10 states to help churches be able to realize their vision for their ministry. We are out from 5-10 days on each building Our budget to operate this ministry is funded by each man paying a $120.00 fee to participate in our projects. This covers the cost of food for the group.
