Cartwright House Bed and Breakfast

Welcome to the Cartwright House, Oriental’s Inn of Distinction, where simple elegance and gracious hospitality meet.

This Inn has a rich history dating back almost to when Oriental was founded. It was built in 1903, and converted to a Bed and Breakfast about three decades ago.

The Inn’s new owners, Margaret and Johnny Reiswig, have refurbished and beautifully appointed the Cartwright House, reopening the Inn as a true bed and breakfast. Every day a healthy & plentiful full breakfast is served. You can choose to dine with other travelers or carry off to a quiet nook among the flowers, the enclosed sun porch, or the large wrap around veranda. Assorted organic coffees and teas, hot chocolate, juice, fresh fruit, homemade muffins, and hot egg creations to tempt any palate begin the day, and a pleasant happy hour with complimentary wine, beer and soda brings an end to each day.

All rooms have private baths stocked with organic bath products from Shikai. The eco-friendly Cartwright House caters to adults looking for a tranquil escape. The facility is 100% smoke free and encourages conversation, board games, quiet reads and pursuits to heal the spirit and mend the soul. Hosts will gladly transport marina guests as needed.
