Casa Nova Ristorante

Casa Nova Ristorante was founded in 1975 by Ignazio "Nash" Ognibene. You can usually find him in sitting at his corner table in the bar room playing solitaire or doing some KP in the kitchen. KP is kitchen patrol for those who never heard of it. Nash served in the Italian military years ago where KP was assigned to new recruits. It usually involved all the dirty work like peeling fruits/vegetables, washing dishes and mopping floors, etc. Nash says he never had to do KP while in the military because he was an officer. Come in and ask him about it if you're interested. Don't worry though, the work Nash does for us, he loves. He's our master prep chef if you will. Our ragazzo di cucina (literally "kitchen boy"). The term Garçon de cuisine (the French version) is actually used in larger kitchens where they need this as a full-time position. Nash peels all of our vegetables, mainly the garlic and potatoes. Boy, he loves his garlic. He also still tries to help out with our huge garden out back in the summer. The Casa Nova Garden is Nash's pride and joy these days, besides his family of course. Speaking of family, the restaurant is now being run by Nash's son John. The Casa Nova has gone through many improvements over the years under John's management. A new programmable LED sign out front, fully redesigned and decorated interior, and many improvements in the kitchen just to name a few.
