Our Beliefs

These are the beliefs of our denomination, Disciples of Christ, and practiced by our congregation as well:

The Bible is a guide for Christian living and faith. The Bible reveals God's purpose in the world.

God is revealed through His love and Jesus Christ.

Jesus Christ was the gift of God's love.

Unity of all Christians in the love of Christ.

Lay Ministry in the life and work of the church. ALL members are "ministers".

Baptism by immersion is symbolic of Christ's death, burial and resurrection, and of faith in life to come.

"Therefore we have been buried with him by baptism into death, so that .... we too might walk in newness of life." Romans 6:4.

Communion is the heart of worship. It is celebrated in remembrance of Jesus Christ and Jesus Christ's life on earth on Sundays and special occasions and is administered by our elders and deacons. All Christians, of any denomination, are welcome to participate.

"... This is my body that is for you. Do this in remembrance of me." 1 Corinthians 11:24.
