More about Cass County Rescue Mission

Mark Roach was called to go outside the church walls and preach at the City Union Mission in the men's shelter. While serving there, God laid on his heart to open up a mission in Cass County because there wasn't one in the area at the time. They started out with much prayer and lots of meetings to discuss and pray for God's direction. They organized a banquet in April of 2012 and had over 300 people attend. The sale of those tickets are what allowed them to open in May of 2012 with the help of a group of believers that shared the same vision. They are not backed by a certain church, they didn't want that to deter anyone from coming. This isn't about a church, it is about the gospel of Jesus Christ. They do help people in lots of ways besides the two meals on Saturday's. They have groceries, clothes and hygiene items donated on a weekly basis. They have a bible study on Thursday's and they help people find a good church. They help people with needs 7 days a week. It's all about the gospel, it has never been about the food. They serve the homeless, the needy, the lonely and just anyone that wants to come for the fellowship.

Mark and his wife Angela live in Harrisonville, Missouri as they co-labor together for this mission. They have been married for 34 years and have 2 grown sons, Joshua Roach and his wife Ashley and a granddaughter Olivia Noelle who live in Lee's Summit and Mark Roach Jr. who lives in Venice Beach, CA.

Their prayer is to one day open up a homeless shelter in Cass County.
