Welcome to Catalpa Trading Company, a store with an assortment of items ranging from nostalgic tin signs to old-timey toys to magic. Having been in business in Berlin, Ohio, the heart of Ohio's Amish Country, for over twenty years we are a premier gift business.

Our shop has not been just a business, though: in a world in which a sense of community has faded away we have sought to make our place a friendly destination. We do things the old-fashioned way; we say "hello" when you walk in the door, and we know what products we have and can take you to them (a lost art in this time of mega-stores).

Along the way we will show you a magic trick or a fun toy or joke item, and as you pass through the store you will hear tinkling piano music or maybe the strains of an old carousel organ. In other words, our mission has been not just to offer products from a by-gone era but also to provide a one-of-a-kind experience so that when you walk in the door you will go into a carefree world of fun.
