Cauhaus Design

Robert Laschever has been a practicing architect for over 20 years. He graduated from Syracuse University School of Architecture with a Bachelor of Architecture degree. Prior to co-establishing Cauhaus Design in 1997, he worked for several nationally known architectural firms, designing a number of buildings in a variety of building types. Robert has been a registered Architect in the State of Maryland for nineteen years, has taught at the Maryland Institute College of Art Interior Design program, and is a member of both the American Institute of Architects and the American Association of Museums.

Tobin Schermerhorn brings over 20 years of Contract and Luxury Residential design experience to the practice. Her work has been featured in several national publications. She was born and raised on the island of Aruba, in the Netherlands Antilles. Tobin attended Smith College, receiving a Bachelor's Degree in Fine Arts, with a minor in Theater Lighting and Costume Design. She received a Masters Degree in Interior Design from the University of Massachusetts. Tobin is a registered Architect in Washington DC, and is NCIDQ Certified. Prior to co-establishing Cauhaus Design, Tobin was a Senior Designer with Marriott International. Tobin is a member of the American Institute of Architects and sits on the board of the Washington Chapter of NEWH.
