CCHA's purpose is to represent the homeschool community in a manner that honors Jesus Christ while providing support, advice, information, fellowship and activities to area homeschoolers.
Our Statement of Faith:
We believe that there is one and only one living and true God. God is the creator, ruler and sustainer of the universe. He eternally exists in three persons: the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. Jesus Christ is the eternal Son of God. In His incarnation, Jesus was conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary. Fully man yet fully God, He lived a sinless human life and offered Himself as the perfect sacrifice for the sins of all persons by dying on a cross. He arose bodily from the dead after three days to demonstrate His power over sin and death. He ascended to Heaven's glory where He sits at the right hand of God the Father, and will return again to earth to reign as King of Kings, and Lord of Lords. Salvation is a free gift from God to people. Only by trusting in Jesus Christ as God's offer of forgiveness can people be saved from the consequences of sin. The Bible was written by individuals who were supernaturally inspired by the Holy Spirit and therefore are the living words of God. The Bible contains the record of God's revelation of Himself to human beings. It is the ultimate source of truth for Christian life and thought, and is the final authority on all matters of faith and practice. As a member of the CCHA Leadership Team, I will attempt to conduct myself in a Christ-like manner. My actions, speech and service will reflect my commitment to follow God's Word as detailed in the Bible. We affirm the Biblical definition of marriage as the union of one man and one woman. (Matthew 19:4-6; Mark 10:6-9; Genesis 2:24; Ephesians 5:31; Romans 1:26-27 ; 1 Corinthians 6:9)
