SMI is a six-week work experience and media production program run though a partnership with the Mayor's Summer Youth Employment Program and Cambridge Community Services' CityLinks Program. Each summer, teens in the program attend workshops and learn camcorder, editing, lighting and audio, gaining media art, technical production, and computer application skills.
As participants develop media skills, they are paid to work as media artists, producing a variety of productions. If you are a Cambridge teen interested in being part of the SMI, please complete an application through the Mayor's Youth Employment Program. This summer, 33 teens will participate in the SMI.
