About the Celtic Boxing Club
Chicago’s Celtic Boxing Club was formed by Chicago attorney Mike Joyce on the South Side neighborhood of Mt. Greenwood/ Beverly in 1993 in order to give neighborhood kids a local gym to learn the art of boxing. Working with the local community has always been on the forefront of the Club’s goal. Teaching young students responsibility, self esteem and confidence has been the passion of Coach Joyce.

Over the years the Club has produced many Champion boxers, but more importantly the Celtic Boxing Club has contributed to producing many more Champion students and citizens. The Celtic Boxing Club has sponsored events all over the city raising hundreds of thousands of dollars for charitable causes while providing a positive outlet for hundreds of our youth.

Recently, the Club has attracted the attention of famous athletes and entertainers who regularly attend the events to help promote the Club and its cause. Some recent events have attracted the attention of such luminaries as: Muhammad Ali, Hall of Fame boxing trainers Angelo Dundee and Emmanuel Steward, Micky Ward (The Fighter) and former Notre Dame All-American, current Indianapolis Colt and pro boxer Tom Zbikowski.

The Celtic Boxing Club is located at 3012 West 111th Street, Chicago 60655 and is open for all ages. Check this site regularly for more information on upcoming events. You can also sign up to our mailing list on the lower right side of the site.
