Located on the corner of Bull and Laurel Streets in downtown Columbia, Centennial was named for the the centennial of the founding of the Associate Reformed Presbyterian Synod in the South in 1803. The church was founded by the Reverend John Patterson Knox (1860-1916), where he served as minister for seventeen years.
