Meet the Pastor :Reverend David M. Martinez

David M. Martinez was born in Ozark, Alabama. Since his father retired from the military, he was raised on Oahu, Hawaii. Upon graduation from high school at seventeen, he attended Pacific University in Oregon where he completed his Bachelors Degree. During that time, he met and married his university sweetheart, Debbie Orr. In his senior year of university, David understood what it meant to have a personal relationship with Christ Jesus, and at that time accepted Christ Jesus as his Savior and Lord. While teaching public high school, David had the opportunity to attend seminary. He completed his seminary degree from Western Conservative Baptist Theological Seminary. David accepted an assistant professorship at Judson Baptist College at the age of twenty-three. He was also on a church staff as associate pastor. While at Judson, David accepted a University fellowship to attend Northwestern University in Chicago, Illinois. He completed another masters degree during that time and taught at Moody Bible Institute.

David has served in churches in Chicago, California, Oregon, and Washington. He is currently completing his third masters degree in theology and will complete his doctorate in pastoral theology in three more years.

Of utmost importance to David is his family. He has been married now to Debbie for thirty-four years. They have been blessed with three daughters, two sons-in-law, two grandchildren and a third to make her appearance in December or January.
