The Central Coast Pet Emergency Clinic was originally established in 1997 by a cooperative effort of twenty six local veterinarians from Paso Robles to Santa Ynez, all of whom shared a common concern for the welfare of their patients during after hours. The driving force behind the clinic was to provide services for sick or injured pets as well as continuous 24 hour critical care throughout the weekends and holidays when regular veterinary clinics are not typically open. The clinic has since passed into the private hands of the staff doctors who have been associated with it’s development and growth since the day of its opening. The guiding philosophy of the clinic has remained unchanged and we continue to provide the highest quality emergency and critical care for referring veterinarians, their patients and the public.
Some of the most common cases include, but are not limited to: drug, snail and rat bait toxicities, trauma cases (hit by car, gunshot wounds, dog fights), GI foreign body removal and parvo, just to name a few. We also provide hospitalization for cases that may need continued care after your veterinarian's office closes (post surgical care, parvo, etc).
