Central Valley Herpetological Society (CVHS)

Central Valley Herpetological Society is an educational organization made up of individuals dedicated to learning about and teaching our surrounding communities about the fascinating world of reptiles and amphibians.

CVHS exists to provide conservation efforts through public education programs, while nurturing the efforts of both professional and amateur herpetologists for the purpose of advancing knowledge in herpetology and captive husbandry.

Many of our members enjoy keeping reptiles, as pets, while others spend a great deal of time finding, photographing, and documenting species in their natural habitats.

Our group provides educational live displays for fairs, festivals, and other community events. CVHS holds monthly meetings featuring guest speakers and activities designed to unite reptile and amphibian admirers, of all ages, within California’s great Central Valley!
