Chapmanville is a town in Logan County, West Virginia, in the United States. The population was 1,256 at the 2010 census. Chapmanville was founded in 1800 and named for an early settler named Ned Chapman, who owned a store and ran the post office. It was incorporated in 1947.GeographyChapmanville is located at, along the Guyandotte River.According to the United States Census Bureau, the town has a total area of 0.67sqmi, of which, 0.65sqmi is land and 0.02sqmi is water.Demographics2010 censusAs of the census of 2010, there were 1,256 people, 604 households, and 338 families residing in the town.
