Charlottesville Circuit Court Clerk's Office

The Charlottesville Circuit Court Clerk’s Office serves the City of Charlottesville, Virginia. Our office is open from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm, Monday through Friday, excluding holidays.

The Clerk’s Office is responsible for filing of all civil suits; docketing and filing of criminal actions; recording real estate records and plats; probating wills; administering oaths of office for the City of Charlottesville; issuing marriage licenses; recording military discharge forms (DD-214’s); and, recording business trade names.

Llezelle Agustin Dugger serves as the Clerk of Court since January 1, 2012 after having been elected to the office in November 2011.
