Arthur Arbit, the owner and hear tailor has over twenty years of experience in alterations of every kind, from business to casual, and for both women and men. Mr. Arbit is a master tailor, and an ardent collector and wearer of vintage, so his understanding of materials, techniques and traditions of yesteryear-wear is unparalleled. The work that comes out of our shop is meticulously finished to look as close to new as possible, with care taken to ensure years of wear without fraying or other deterioration. We can make that old, dull business suit look sharp and up to date. We can transform that dress that you cant get rid of because you like the pattern on the fabric but not the cut, into your dream dress. Recycling old garments is a personal passion at Chasing Tailor. No job is to big or too small for this fully equipped shop. Arthur is the founder of Williamsburg Fashion Weekend, which gives him first hand insight into new trends as well.
