Château du dieu de Bourbon

Since antiquity there have been many true gods. Dionysus was the god of wine and long regarded as one of the most important sons of Zeus. Not to be undone by antiquity, there are gods of the modern day as well. While the Christians, Jews and terrorists believe in gods of lesser importance who have long forsaken modern man, today there exists a god of great power, compassion, and grandeur––James B. Beam––the god of Bourbon. Much as the Buddhists believe the Dalai Lama is the manifestation of their god on earth, followers of Jim Beam vest their faith today in his earthly manifestation. The currently reigning god of Bourbon calls this stately Château in Virginia his home today. Host to parties, dinners, and receptions for many of the world’s elite, the Château du dieu de Bourbon is a by invitation only venue. Those worthy and lucky enough to be invited are treated to worldly delights, meals, and cocktails unimaginable to the peasant classes that surround the Château and can only gaze at its grandeur. The peasantry is kept at a distance as are other undesirables and, of course, children are strictly prohibited on the premises.
