Chico Sports Club

As a Corning High School football player, #2 shot putter in the country, and two-time Super Bowl winning defensive lineman, Jeff Stover is no stranger to the gym. However, it wasn’t until a series of injuries during his time playing for the San Francisco 49ers that he became inspired to open up a gym of his own. Throughout the rehabilitation process he noticed how the gym could be a place to recover and improve yourself while receiving support from others. As a result, Jeff founded Chico Sports Club in 1989 with the vision of providing a non-intimidating atmosphere for members of the Chico community in order to change their lives through health and fitness.
