Chief’s Sports Grill is a Veteran owned and operated Sports Bar & Grill located in Killeen TX.
Concept:
The concept of Chief’s derives from the title “Chief” in the U.S. Armed Forces, particularly the Warrant Officer corps of the U.S. Army. Upon leaving the Army, Chief Warrant Officer Thomas H. Campbell (Owner) wanted to honor the Warrant Officer Corps by establishing a place of fellowship that was veteran friendly and named for the small but powerful corps of Army officers.
Logo:
The word Chief’s is the placed over a field of gold adjacent to a field of white. This division of colors honors the 1st Cavalry Division, Chief Campbell’s final unit of assignment. The number 1918 appears at the top of the logo as a reference to the year in which the U.S. Army’s Corps of Warrant Officers was originally established. The star centered at the top of the logo is a reference to the star on the Gonzales flag which is an enduring symbol of the second amendment and the right and responsibility to bear arms and preserve freedom. Finally the letter “I” in the name Chief is a representation of the rank insignia worn by Army warrant Officers.
Environment:
Chief’s Sports Grill prides itself in being a place where people from all walks of life can go and be comfortable and safe. It is a place to tell and listen to stories, experiences and to fellowship with current and new friends. The special aspect of Chief’s is its overt support for current members, retirees and veterans of our country’s armed forces. However, every patron is a neighbor and respect is shown to all.
